Cutscheme 2D System


The Cutscheme 2D system is designed to be your camera crew, handling the technical aspects so you can play director and let your creativity flow. Create standalone cutscenes, opening cutscenes, triggered cutscenes, transition cutscenes and trailers. Works with orthographic cameras (top-down, side-on, orthographic, etc.).



Cutscheme 2D Controller



Control a camera (or parent of a camera) in the scene. Cutscheme 2D will automatically detect whether the transform you drag into the Main Camera field is a Camera or a parent of a Camera and will reformat itself accordingly.

Allows option to show or hide outlines of the camera positions in the cutscene. These outlines reflect each of their respective camera sizes and positions.
Idle camera positions are outlined in dark purple and selected camera positions are outlined in light green.

Cutscheme Object Control


Hide or show objects before, during, and after the cutscene

-Objects hidden before cutscene will be automatically disabled in the editor, though can be enabled and disabled manually
-Objects hidden during the cutscene are hidden at the start of the cutscene and enabled again after the cutscene
-Objects hidden after the cutscene are disabled after the cutscene ends



Cutscheme Audio




-Cutscheme Audio controls the main audio (if any) for the cutscene.

-Loop the cutscene audio and control the volume from Cutscheme 2D Controller.
-Automatically fades the main audio in and out.



Cutscheme Options


-Fade the cutscene in/out at the beginning and end
-Reset the camera(s) back to their original size(s) after the cutscene ends
-Choose whether the cutscene can be skipped
-Change to a new scene via build index or let the Cutscheme 2D prefab disable itself when the cutscene ends



Camera Positions


Controls for each camera position:

-duration the camera position stays still before transitioning to the next
-zoom in or out to a new camera size at the speed of your choice
-shake the camera at the magnitude of your choice
-tilt the camera at the angle of your choice
-transition to the next position by cutting instantly or panning at the speed of your choice
-play an audioclip at the start of the camera shot
-speed up or slow down time during the camera shot

Cutscheme 2D Effect System






(Universal Render Pipeline only)

-Fully integrated into Cutscheme 2D, though it will not enable unless you choose to use it.
-Display multiple camera effects during the cutscene. Each camera position can override the main effect(s) during its respective camera shot.
-Copies the volume you drag into the system and uses the copy to create and control effects for the cutscene. After the cutscene it resets your volume back to normal and removes the copy.

(Built-In Renderer Pipeline only)

-Fully integrated into Cutscheme 2D, though it will not enable unless you choose to use it.
-Display up to two camera filters at a time during the cutscene. Each camera position can override the main filters for their respective camera shots.
-Customize with your own filters (Materials) or use the ones that come with the package.
